Ball Pythons
Nutrition
A Ball Python's diet consists of rat pinkies as neonates up to medium rats for adults.
They can be known to be picky eaters and sometimes go "off feed" at times; some are quirky and prefer live prey over frozen/thawed or a different type of prey over another...this just goes to show, that snakes like people, can be eccentric and idiosyncratic.
Habitat
Ball Pythons are from Africa, around Ghana and surrounding countries, they are known to spend most of the their time underground hunting like in the huge red termite mounds found in their habitat.
Ball Pythons like all snakes should have a temp gradient in captivity. The hot end around 88-89 degrees.
Well-Being
Ball Pythons are a great snake for those just starting out in the hobby as keepers. They are probably one of the most genetically diverse animals available. They are known for their managable size and sweet disposition.
